Well he’s here. Yep HE! Things went great during the delivery (for Sondra anyways, I was a bit stressed) He was born around 2AM on the 3rd.
It was after the delivery that things went downhill fast. She lost a lot of blood pressure and started passing out. They me in called to help. I was working to stay calm on the outside, but I was so scared, and was praying so hard.
The way the midwife was responding, I thought we were losing her! It may not have been as bad as it seemed to me, but the midwife sent for an ambulance, and they took her from to birth center to the hospital. She was more stable by the time we were in the ER but she still couldn’t stand up, as her heart rate would go way up, her blood pressure way down, and she would get really dizzy so they decided to admit her.
Around 10AM on the 3rd she started getting more strength, and was able to get up. She had been asking for food since early on, but apparently hospital people were more concerned with IV’s, and tests. When she finally got a real meal in the morning things started improving quickly, and by the afternoon she got off the IV and was able to get up by herself.
Around 6PM on the 3rd we got them to say she could go home, and so we did, which was really good because we were all wanting to sleep on our own beds. We finally got some real sleep and things are getting back to normal. He’s doing great, and Sondra’s feeling good too!
Now I’m a guy that likes to have things in order and all this reminds me just how small and out of control of life I really am, and yet God still see’s and is watching over things.
We’ve been calling him Codename Herbie. That’s not going to be his real name untill just now as I’m typing this post now we had not decided on one. His official name is Cyrus Fredrick Seim. He’s 7lb 4oz, and 19 inches long.
