Gavin Seim, the Ventriloquist Square Dance Caller:

I’m a photographer and content publisher by trade, but everyone needs good hobbies. Mine include Square Dance calling and ventriloquism. I’m told I’m pretty good at both and I’ve had the honor of performing alongside some of the most renowned names in square dancing.

I started calling square dances when I was seventeen. Around the same time I also started learning how to perform ventriloquism and I now implement that into my full dances. I’ve probably become best known as The Ventriloquist Caller and while I don’t call every tip in ventriloquist fashion, it’s a fun unique trademark.

I teach and call dances for public events & private parties, as well as full dances for established square dance clubs. Square dancing is a great family or party activity and I try hard to put on a show that is fun for any age group. Square dancing does not have to be old fashioned and slow and I enjoy making a dance energetic and fun. No matter what the experience level of your group I’ll get you dancing and having a good time.
