Welcome, I’m Gavin Seim, a Square Dance Caller. I started calling square dances when I was seventeen. Around the same time I was also learning Ventriloquism. Since then I’ve called at many events, and though I don’t call entire dances as a ventriloquist, I’ve still become best known as The Ventriloquist Caller. I’ve called at the Oregon Mid Winter Festival with Jerry Storey, and Tony Oxendine, and been a part of many square dance events throughout the region and into Canada.
I call dances for public events, & private parties, as well as full dances for square dance clubs. Square dancing is a great family activity, and I try hard to put on a dance that is fun for any age. I’m enjoy making a dance fun. No matter what the experience level of your group I’ll have you dancing, and having a good time.
A square dance with me is pretty much the same format as any square dance, though often more lively. Ventriloquism is my trademark, but since too much of anything would be tiring, every call is not a ventriloquist call, Usually I pick out one or two friends to call with me a few times during an evening, and the rest of the time I’ll keep you moving with energy vocal talent, and fun.
